Transparency About Our Business Model
DeskDraft is reader-supported through affiliate commissions. When you click a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us maintain the newsletter and testing equipment free for you.
Affiliate Programs We Participate In
- Amazon Associates: We earn commissions from qualifying purchases through Amazon affiliate links
- Other Retailers: We may participate in affiliate programs with direct product manufacturers
How This Affects Our Reviews
Our affiliate relationships do NOT influence our honest opinions. We test gear thoroughly before recommending it. If a product doesn't work well for developers, we say so—even if it has an affiliate link.
Our process:
- Test products with real developers for extended periods
- Compare against alternatives (whether or not we have affiliate links)
- Recommend based on value, ergonomics, and real-world use—not affiliate commission rates
- Disclose when a product has an affiliate link
No Paid Endorsements
We do not accept payment from manufacturers to review or feature their products. Our recommendations are independent and based solely on testing and user value.
Your Trust is Paramount
DeskDraft exists because we were frustrated with biased gear reviews online. We're committed to honest, transparent recommendations. If something doesn't work for developers, we tell you.
